HKA has a comprehensive approach to design that is based upon meeting and working with our clients to understand their needs and desires before we can begin to offer solutions. For every project that we undertake, we strive to the benefit of the client and the community. Although we have delineated three steps, we view the entire process as one seem less whole, a logical progression from one phase to the next. The commitment to communication and collaboration are the key to every successful project.

First is Analysis, where we review goals, constraints, economic parameters, physical conditions and even community issues and/or impact. The examination each element and interpreting the impact on the project allows us to establish goals and objectives that guide the design process.

Second is the Development of Design Options. Building from the information gathered in the analysis we develop a number of design alternatives. These are packaged, presented and discussed with the project team and then a preferred solution, that best resolves the identified project issues, is selected.

Third is the Refinement of the selected solution. This takes the vision and documents all of the elements necessary to allow the project to be constructed successfully.
